PERFORMANCE BASED ENERGY TAX CREDIT PROPOSED The US Senate has proposed a new tax credit bill for overall energy efficiency improvements to a home. To receive a tax credit of $2000, homes would be required to reduce energy costs by 20%; each additional 5% savings would earn $500 up to $5000, 30% of the taxpayer's expenditures. The proposed legislation would require that the products and installers are accredited and meet certain qualifications. For more information, visit EfficiencyFirst.org/25E |
